The Assisted Living Caregiver Program is designed for individuals wanting to work in an Assisted Living home or center as a certified caregiver as mandated by the Arizona Department of Health Services. The Assisted Living Caregiver Program is divided into three subsections of Supervisory Care, Personal Care and Directed Care. It is designed to provide techniques in crisis intervention, medication administration, assisting residents with their activities of daily living, the coordination of, or provision of, intermittent nursing services, developing and implementing programs and services, including, personal care services provided to persons who are incapable of recognizing danger, summoning assistance, expressing need or making basic care decisions.
This is a 7 day course offered over two weeks.
Each day the course will run from 8:30am - 4:00 pm.

This course is designed for individuals who have already completed the Caregiver Program and would like to become a Certified Manager of an Assisted Living Home or Center. After completion of this course students must also apply with the Arizona Board of Examiners of Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers and pass the state board exam to become certified. This course will provide techniques in developing resident service plans, basic business practices, managing personnel, how and when to delegate authority, how to develop policies and procedures, and will offer an overview of the rules and regulations governing assisted living facilities.
This is a one day course starting at 8:00 am and ending by 5:00 pm.
Each day the course will run from 8:15am - 4:00pm.

Admission Requirement
- High School Diploma or G.E.D Equivalent
- At least 21 years of age
- Must provide proof of Caregiver Certification - with specialization of Supervisory Care, Personal Care and Directed Care.
- Work experience with a minimum of 2080 hours in a health related field within the previous five years.
